About The Filtered
Welcome to The Filtered, a library for learning better, thinking deeper, and shaping your personal canon.
It’s a growing reference space built for people who care about intellectual development.
The Filtered organizes enduring ideas into three working collections: Reading Life, Learning Practice, and Thinking Better. These collections are stocked and updated regularly with essays, excerpts, and artifacts drawn from a wide range of writers and mediums.
Who this library is for
If you’re a lifelong learner, this place is for you.
Maybe you’re building a personal canon. Maybe you want to elevate your reading life. Maybe you’re interested in a sustainable self-education practice. The Filtered gives you a structured, navigable library you can use to support whatever intellectual project you’re working on.
What to expect
The Collections are stocked and updated regularly with new stacks, and subscribers get notified when something new is added to the library.
Members (aka: paying subscribers) get full access to the entire archive as it grows. The goal is simple: an organized knowledge library that becomes more useful over time.
Free subscribers get notified and see previews of new stacks to the library. They also have limited access to the archive.
Who am I and why did I make this
I’m Lou Blaser. I read a lot, and I’ve always kept some form of personal knowledge library — notes, highlights, quotes, rabbit-hole trails.
The Filtered grew out of that habit. I wanted a place where the things I learn don’t disappear, and where the best materials I come across get collected, sorted, and made easy to revisit. Now I’m building a digital library in public for anyone who finds learning a lifelong companion too.
